Our Journey: From a Missed Opportunity to a Creative Powerhouse

The origins of g3Designs trace back to a unique client request in 2020—one we couldn’t fulfill at the time. But rather than view that moment as a failure, we took it as a challenge. That experience illuminated a clear opportunity to expand our capabilities and led to the founding of a new division focused entirely on custom handmade products. From our humble workshop in Endwell, NY, we set out to combine fine craftsmanship with accessible design and advanced production technology.

We began with a focus on woodworking, using raw and locally sourced materials to create one-of-a-kind products—from engraved cutting boards and plaques to personalized gifts and décor. As demand grew, we expanded our tools and our vision. The addition of a commercial CO2 laser opened the door to precision engraving on a wide range of materials, including wood, glass, acrylic, tile, leather, and even metals. This allowed us to offer a wider variety of products for both personal and business applications, such as promotional items, signage, and custom branding materials.By 2022, g3Designs had already become known for creative, high-quality work that pushed the boundaries of small-shop fabrication. But we weren’t done. Incorporating commercial-grade 3D printing into our workflow unlocked a new world of possibilities. We began prototyping our own designs, producing custom tools and fixtures, and even developing unique products tailored to the needs of clients in manufacturing, marketing, and event planning.

In 2023, we officially launched our research and development initiatives, working closely with businesses throughout the Northeast to create practical, cost-effective solutions for display systems, branded merchandise, retail installations, and more. This growth marked our transition from a small local operation to a full-fledged fabrication and design studio capable of supporting both custom and scaled production.

Breaking New Ground: CNC Milling and Industrial-Scale Production

A major turning point came in 2024 when we added an industrial-grade CNC milling machine to our capabilities. With this new technology, we began producing complex, repeatable parts with exceptional precision. Whether it is intricate signage, layered wall art, rolling trays, or even functional tools and jigs for other makers, CNC milling allows us to meet the growing needs of our client base—faster and more accurately than ever before.

With our CNC and laser systems working in tandem, we can now tackle projects that require mixed-material fabrication, deep-carve engraving, or multi-step finishing processes. This opens the door for everything from high-end corporate gifts to retail-ready product lines—all built in-house, all under one roof.

Community Collaboration and Artisan Support

Despite our growth, we remain deeply connected to our local roots. We frequently partner with other artisans and small businesses, offering white-label production, fulfillment support, and joint product development.
